What's important for us...

Hepatitis B Fund works with communities and partners around the world to help prevent hepatitis B and support people affected by it. Since our founding in Ottawa, Canada, in 2017, we have developed projects across Africa, Asia, and South America, shaped by the needs of the communities we serve.

Our work focuses on:

  1. Vaccination and prevention: Supporting vaccination programs and campaigns that help protect people from hepatitis B.
  2. Community awareness: Sharing information about hepatitis B prevention and encouraging informed health decisions.
  3. Local projects: Working alongside local teams and volunteers to deliver activities that respond to community needs.
  4. Global partnerships: Collaborating across countries and regions to extend the reach of hepatitis B projects.

Through initiatives such as the We Care Project, we aim to combine vaccination campaigns with community awareness, including in Tanzania, Kenya, Zimbabwe, and South Sudan. Our approach is grounded in equity, compassion, integrity, and partnership, with the goal of helping more communities access hepatitis B prevention and support.
